JOIN ME TO WALK FROM GREAT WHITTINGTON TO HEAVENFIELD Today as I complete the final part of my walk along St Oswald's Way (before joining The Way of Light onwards to Durham) I'm inviting anyone interested to meet me for a swift half at the Queens Head Pub in the village of Great Whittington before walking the final 7 miles of the way along to Heavenfield on Hadrian's Wall. On arrival at St Oswald's Church, Heavenfield, there will not be a concert, however I'll be informally singing a few songs in the grounds (or in the church depending on the weather) before walking down to Chollerford to catch my lift home for two rest days before picking up the trail again. If you'd like to come along for this section then please contact me on info@garethdavies-jones.com for timings and so I can confirm numbers. Please note - there will not be any car parking available or toilet facilities at Heavenfield

In June 2025 Gareth will be walking (with a guitar !) from Lindisfarne via St Oswald's Way and The Way of Light Northern Saints Trail - arriving into Durham on the Eve of Midsummer. As he goes, the journey itself will provide inspiration, stories and perspectives for a new collection of songs to be written and recorded in Autumn/ Winter 2025. During the walk he is performing a series of intimate acoustic concerts at atmospheric venues with songs from across his career and particularly those relating to the North East - for example "Lindisfarne" about Eadfrith and the writing of the Lindisfarne Gospels and Heavenfield - written about St Oswald's Church on Hadrian's Wall. Come along and be part of the journey.

'Foot Notes' is a new venture combining songwriting and pilgrimage, seeking to highlight, through music, the history of culture and faith along our ancient highways and byways.
